The Hawaiʻi Academy of Science (HAS) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1925. The vision of the Academy is to promote scientific research & education in Hawai‘i and the Pacific Rim. The Academy is particularly interested in developing and executing programs and experiences for the science and learning communities.

Our projects include the Hawai‘i State Science & Engineering Fair (HSSEF), the Pacific Symposium for Science & Sustainability (PS3), Science Café and our latest: STEM Week Hawaii.

Give Aloha Program (September 1–30) - The HAS is participating in Give Aloha, Foodland & Sack 'n Save's annual matching program. HOW IT WORKS: Whenever you shop at Foodland or Sack 'n Save with your Maikai card (it's free) during the month of September, & make a donation to HAS, Foodland will make a donation, too. Please remember to give the cashier our registration number: 78089.

Individual, family, corporate, and student (K–12) memberships in the Academy are available. Membership dues and donations support activities for our members, public lectures, and special programs sponsored by the Academy.
