Our Next Speaker

The next Science Café will be at P.F. Chang's, Honolulu on Tuesday, May 22.

Bruce Howe of the UH-Manoa Ocean and Resources Engineering Dept. will discuss "New Tools for Observing the Ocean from the Surface to the Abyss."

  • Social/Dinner Hour (No Host) begins at 6 p.m.
  • The Featured Speaker's talk is from 7–8 p.m.

If you like talking about science with a glass or a fork in your hand, please join us at Honolulu's monthly SCIENCE CAFE, which is organized by the Hawai‘i Academy of Science in collaboration with Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS), Sigma Xi and the American Chemical Society.

We try to follow the guidelines set out at ScienceCafes.org. Meetings start with a social hour at 6pm, followed by a short invited talk at 7 pm. The rest of the meeting is devoted to discussion by the attendees (ie. you).
