The 56th Hawai‘i State Science & Engineering Fair (HSSEF) depends on financial contributions from foundations, trusts, businesses and individuals to support the operation of HSSEF. All donors who contribute $100 or more will be acknowledged in the State Science Fair program booklet. Donors who contribute $2500 or more are acknowledged in press-releases and at the State Science Fair award ceremony.
The award levels for last year’s HSSEF were:

| Gold Sponsor | $24,999–$10,000 |
| Silver Sponsor | $9,999–$5,000 |
| Bronze Sponsor | $4,999–$1,000 |
| Contributor | $999–$500 |
| Friend | $499–$100 |
